PCPD Press Release

Castle Heights Elementary School sponsored a “Policemen and Pop-Tarts” event at the school library on Wednesday. Officers from the Price City Police Department and Troopers from the Utah Highway Patrol teamed up together early Wednesday morning to read books to students at the school and share Pop-Tarts (a close cousin to doughnuts)!

School Librarian Kathy Munns and AmeriCorps Representative Celeste Smith sponsor a different themed open library event once per month. The goal is to encourage a love for reading among the students. Reading will open up your world to new heights.

The policemen and tutors loved the time they spent with the kids this morning, and Celeste reported it was an awesome turn out and a great morning!
