A public hearing was held at the regularly scheduled Price City council meeting on Wednesday concerning the Price City Capital Improvement Plan.

Additions have been made to the plan, including the renovation of the community baseball and softball fields located at Carbon High School in conjunction with Carbon School District. In order for this to happen, Price City is currently seeking and applying for funds in order to proceed with the updates to the fields.

The ball fields will be used by the school district when in season and will be available for the public’s use as well. Miles Nelson of Price City hopes these renovations will bring more ball tournaments and visitors to the area. “We hope revenues will increase with attendance to ball tournaments,” Nelson said before the hearing was opened.

In addition to the Carbon ball fields, the public hearing also included the additional discussion of ADA access to the basement of the Price City Library. No one spoke during the public hearing, closing the hearing. The council approved the new additions to the city improvement plan.
