The Price City Council approved the CIB Grant Contract with the Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) on Wednesday evening.

In partnership with Carbon School District, the council approved the signage for the grant, amounting to $1,562,000, all of which will be granted to Price City for the community baseball complex project.

The fields that will receive the new and improved look reside at Carbon High School. This project has been in the works for Carbon School District for several years. Due to insufficient funds, however, the renovations at the complex were impossible for the district to complete on their own.

The partnership between Price City and Carbon School District will allow great success for both sides. The high school teams will be able to return to their home field for games, while the new fields will open more opportunities for bigger ball tournaments for the city.
