Members of the Price City Council welcomed two new officers to the Price squad on Wednesday. Officers Andrew Olson and Stephen Reece were sworn in by Judge Jon Carpenter at a city council meeting.

Both officers recently worked in Utah County. Reece started his training in law enforcement in Price at the College of Eastern Utah. After working on patrol and undercover, he decided to make the change to return to work in an area he has always loved.

“I like the people down here ,” Reece commented. “Its good to be here.”

Olsen worked for Utah Highway Patrol before securing a job in Utah County. Now, he is excited to work for Price City and live in the area with his family.

“I am happy to be here,” Olson stated. “I love the outdoors and Price. There is a lot to do here so I am looking forward to being here and being part of the team.”

Council members expressed their appreciation to the officers and thanked them for choosing Price City as a place to work and serve.

“Welcome to our family,” said Mayor Joe Piccolo. “Hopefully you find your time enjoyable. We hope that you keep our city safe but most importantly, keep yourselves safe.”
