In its third annual study, SmartAsset recently named Price as the second-place finisher in a recent study on the best place in the Beehive State to retire.

The study, conducted by the financial company, scored towns throughout Utah, giving them an index score based on such criteria as hypothetical tax burden based on a constant income and local tax rates as well as the concentration of doctors’ offices, recreation centers and retirement centers.

A total percentage of senior citizens in the population was also used to calculate an index score, according to the organization’s website.

Price came in second in the study with a score of 16.49 behind first-place finishing Park City at 28.76. Price beat out cities such as Nephi, Salt Lake and Roosevelt as well as others in the study.

The following is a table created by SmartAsset to show each city and its respective scores in the various criteria.
