Carbon and Emery County has a number of boards and committees which advise and assist governing County programs.  Serving on an appointed board or committee is a great way to participate in decisions that affect you and helps serve our community.

Volunteer boards and committees play a variety of important roles and are designed to encourage citizen participation in government, provide representation of different interests and viewpoints, and to take advantage of specialized skills, expertise and experience among persons generally employed in areas other than government.

Seeking Defense Attorney for Children’s Justice Center and Family Support Center Advisory Board

Number of Vacancies: One

Terms: This vacancy is due to a board member not able to complete their term and thus this appointment will start immediately and will expire 12/31/21.

This board meets four times a year (quarterly). The main purpose of the board is to serve as an advisory committee to the center’s director regarding center activities, child abuse matter’s and legislation, and other items that are brought to the board for review and recommendation. The Defense Attorney would sit on the board as a representative for defense counsel.
