Scheduled Wellington City Power Outage Predicted to Affect Entire City

Wellington City Police Chief Rory Bradley announced on Tuesday afternoon that a truck had damaged the power pole as well as the electrical system located at 100 East Main Street in Wellington on Monday evening.

The damage will require repair, which will begin on Thursday, August 8 at 11 p.m. and will last until approximately Friday, August 9 at 7 a.m. During that length of time, the power will be out throughout all of Wellington City. Chief Bradley urged that all those that live in Wellington should prepare for the outage and make the appropriate precautions.

He continued by urging that all spread the word and ensure that the elderly, especially, that live in the area but may not have access to social media outlets be warned.

Rocky Mountain Power did announce that the outage may conclude earlier that the scheduled 7 a.m. time, however, they wish for all to plan for the full time. Chief Bradley concluded by stating that he will do his best to stop at as many places around town as possible to also warn others as well as posting any updates received.
