Sheldon Delyle Axelsen

HIGHLAND, CA-On November 2, 2018, Sheldon Delyle “Lyle” Axelsen, 75, of Highland, California passed away peacefully at Highland Palms Healthcare Center in Highland, Ca. He was reunited with his parents. Lyle was born in Price, Utah on November 25, 1942.  He is the son of Sheldon “Chris” and Clara Axelsen. Lyle was a 1961 graduate of Carbon High School.  Married his wife Kang on July 7, 1975 in Seoul Korea where he was stationed.

Lyle proudly served in the Air Force for almost 22 years, earned a Vietnam Service Medal (among others), and retired as a Master Sergeant as a Financial Management Supervisor and still continued to serve our military for another 20 years with the American Forces Radio and Television Services. Lyle will be dearly missed.  He is remembered for his hard-work and support for his family. He was an avid reader and loved reading western and military suspense novels during his spare time. We will miss his cheerful smiles and the joy he brought to all.

He is survived by his wife Kang Axelsen, Highland, Ca., daughter, Debbie (Brian) Alagao, Los Angeles, Ca; brothers, Pat (Trudy) Axelsen, Price, Gary (Patty) Axelsen, Price; 2 grandchildren Izabella and Ezra Alagao, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheldon “Chris” and Clara Axelsen.
