Emery headed to West Valley to take on Granger, a 6a team, in hopes of finding its first win. Granger would prove to be too much for Emery as it added on to its one goal led in the second half and took the contest 2-0.

It is the second time in four games that the Lady Spartans have been shutout. Also of note, Emery has lost two games by one point and the other two games by two points. In other words, teams are not blowing out Emery. The Lady Spartans have just had difficulty finding the back of the net consistently.

Emery hopes to turn things around this week when they host South Summit on Tuesday and face Millard on the road on Thursday to close out the preseason.
