Huntington Game Farm Pond
2016-05-05
Fair
The best fishing occurs within a mile of the dam. Few fish will be found below South Hughes Canyon because of last year’s flash floods. Fly-fishing has ranged from fair to good. Brown trout up to 17 inches have been hooked in the fly-only zone. Good fly choices include leeches, wooly buggers, prince nymphs, stone flies, bead head uglies, caddis larvae, hares ear and the serendipity. Last year, 770 7-inch cutthroat trout were stocked at the Forks of the Huntington campground, so anglers may find some of these planters in that vicinity or further up the left fork.
Huntington North Reservoir
2016-08-24
Good
Wiper fishing continues to produce good-sized fish at Huntington North. Fishing pressure has slowed down a bit in the past few weeks, however anglers are still catching wipers. Huntington North Reservoir was stocked with wipers on July 16.
Huntington Reservoir
2016-08-24
Good
On Aug. 4, tiger trout between 13 inches and 19 inches were biting on size 6–8 bead head buggers and leech patterns in darker colors. Almost all were outside of casting distance from shore. There were some flying ants and midges on the water, and fish were feeding on them. The best fishing happens in the afternoon. Huntington Reservoir was stocked with tiger trout on June 15.
Joes Valley Reservoir
2016-08-24
Fair
The tiger muskie fishing has slowed down a little, but some anglers are still catching fish. Fishing crankbaits along the shoreline early in the morning has been working best. Watch for tiger muskie chasing chubs on the surface during the afternoon. Top water plugs are recommended for surfacing fish. Joes Valley Reservoir was stocked with tiger muskie on April 26.

2016-05-26

Fair
The ponds are accessible, but spring stocking hasn’t happened yet.
Price River
2016-05-05
Slow
The water level is better now that water is being released from Scofield Reservoir. Because of winter dewatering of lower Fish Creek, anglers should expect to find more and bigger trout in the larger pools along the river.
Right Fork of Huntington Creek
2016-05-26
Slow
The creek’s trout population was minimized by flash floods in the drainage in 2015. We’ve stocked some fish, but planters have struggled from the effects of flash flooding. Full restoration of the fishery isn’t possible until the drainage is fully revegetated. The U.S. Forest Service is working on reforestation now.
Scofield Reservoir
2016-09-01
