The Emery High Wrestlers traveled to the Salem Hills Tournament over the weekend and managed to represent the black and gold well.
Spartans McKay Macarello and Ty Mecham each walked away with third-place finishes while teammate Korby Christiansen grabbed a fourth. Zach World and Newt Oveson each brought home a fifth-place finish with Gus Dalton placing sixth. Dax Hall also grabbed eighth place while at the tourney.
In junior varsity action, Lon Huntsman managed 5-0 with Drake Weber walking away with 4-1. McKray Duncan had 4-1 while Caleb Rubio had 0-4. Klint Allred grabbed 2-1 while Teagan Christian walked away with 3-1. Dillan Williams had 1-3 and teammate Josh Sharp finished 1-3.
The Spartans will hit next hit the mat on Wednesday as the team hosts Delta at home.
