In a game that tested the Spartans defensively, Emery was able to stop Enterprise’s comeback, winning 71-67.

The Spartans struggled offensively to start the game. The Wolves pounded the ball down low consistently and Justin Prisbrey could not be stopped, scoring 28 points. Free throws were big down the stretch for Emery and Bailey Faimalo and Mcklane Allred came up big ensuring the Spartan win.

Drexler Tanner also had a huge offensive rebound putback that sealed the game for Emery. The guard play was great for the Spartans with Dillon Wilstead netting 17 points. Faimalo had a complete game, scoring 20 points to go along with 13 assists, eight rebounds and seven steals. Allred scored 10 including a big buzzer beating three-pointer at the end of the first quarter to tie the game, tying the game at 18. Gavin McDermott finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

“We need to communicate and talk better on defense and stop easy buckets at the rim,” Faimalo said after the game. “It was a good team win.”

The Spartans will next host Beaver Dec. 4.
