The Emery Spartans made it three wins in the row, earning that third win against San Juan in Blanding Tuesday afternoon, 10-6.

Colton Willson knocked in five of the 10 runs on the afternoon, going 1-3 with a single. Easton Gordon, after a 5-7 showing in a doubleheader sweep against South Summit on Saturday, went 2-3. Kyson Stilson and Rance Jensen also added two hits apiece. Koda Alton had the only extra base hit in the game, a double, going 1-4.

Emery scored three quick runs in the first inning to take an early lead. The Spartans then scored a single run in the third, two more in the fourth and four more in the seventh for the win. San Juan attempted the comeback in the bottom half of the seventh, scoring three before Emery reliever Jace Collard shut the door.

Gordon pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs, six total, and 10 hits in the game. He also struck out seven batters en route to the win.

Emery (9-4, 2-3 Region 15) will travel to Helper on Wednesday for a matchup with cross-county rival Carbon before hosting San Juan on Friday.
