Despite it being spring break in the Emery County School District, the Emery Spartans traveled to Manti High School on Friday for the 2018 Temple View Qualifier.
The Spartans took home a fifth place finish out of 16 total teams.
Emery posted just one first place finish, as Drake Hoffman continues to churn out first place finishes in the discus. He also placed fourth in the shot put.
Other top five finishers included Bethany Justice, fourth in 400 meters; Chase Christiansen, fifth in the 1600; Tiana Jensen, third in the 100-meter hurdles; Cade Allred, second in javelin; and Jaden Defa, third in javelin.
Emery was missing a number of athletes due to spring break.
The Spartans will travel to San Juan High School for a meet on Wednesday.
