Thursday morning, an accident occurred five miles east of Scofield Junction on US 6 at mile marker 221 involving a semi truck around 8 a.m. While a trooper on the scene reported that there were no injuries as a result of the accident, traffic has been affected while cleanup takes place.
Later in the afternoon, US 6 was closed and traffic began being diverted. Those that wish to travel on US 6 are being directed to take Emma Park Road. As of 4 p.m., an estimated time to reopen the road was not reported.
