Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust in Wellington

A routine traffic stop resulted in arrests in Wellington on Thursday afternoon.

According to Wellington City Police, officer Safley conducted a traffic stop at 12:30 p.m. Upon the stop, he was able seize 17.3 grams of meth, 2.5 grams of marijuana and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

Cassie Bradley and Kristopher Henderson were charged and booked into the Carbon County Jail. Both were charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Henderson was also charged for being an interlock restricted driver. The charges will be filed with the Carbon County Attorney’s Office for screening.

“I’m always proud of the work the guys do and for their dedication to the citizens of Wellington,” said Wellington Police Chief Rory Bradley following the arrests.
