Troop 282 of the Boy Scouts of America hosted their annual pancake dinner on Saturday Jan. 23. The event, held at the Price United Methodist Church, marked nearly 31 years that the dinner has been held.

The scouts, aged anywhere from 11 to mid-teens, were in charge of seating, serving and taking drink orders. In a flurry of batter, sausages, and scrambled eggs, the local scouts served the community a warm helping of food as well as a warm environment. 300 meals and 46 dozen eggs later, the troop’s dinner was a success.

The troop, which was established in 1942 and is the sole non-denominational troop in Price, is led by Scoutmaster Mark Mackiewicz. Mackiewicz has served the troop and community as Scoutmaster since 1979.
