Castle Dale Elementary divided its recent spelling bee into two parts; lower grades and upper grades.
Winners of the lower grade spelling bee were Alyssa Jorgensen, first; Max Sorensen, second; and Bodee Norton, third. All three finalists are third graders.
Following in the afternoon was the spelling bee for fourth and fifth grades. Gordon Cloward finished in first, with Rylan Neff in second and Peyton Sermon in third.
Gordon Cloward will represent Castle Dale Elementary at the district bee on Feb. 6 at the Little Theatre in the Spartan Center at Emery High School. The contest will begin at 1 p.m.
