On the weekend of May 3 and 4, local high school rodeo teams competed at Bear River in Tremonton and the Bridgerland rodeo in Logan. The next weekend, May 10 and 11, teams traveled to the Wasatch Rodeo in Heber City and on to Morgan.
At the Bear River rodeo, Wyatt Magnuson finished seventh in tie down roping. At the Bridgerland rodeo, Jessie McElprang earned eighth in breakaway roping while McKray Duncan took eighth in tie down roping and Drake Weber placed seventh in the reining cow competition.
At the Morgan Rodeo, Will and Wyatt Magnuson were ninth in team roping. Wyatt also earned fourth in tie down roping while and Dax Hall took sixth. Korby Christiansen tied for third in saddle bronc riding. In the shooting sports, Kagen Rhodes was fifth in rifle and scored first in the trap shoot.
In Heber at the Wasatch rodeo, Drake Weber and Brett Olsen roped seventh in team roping, Korby Christiansen tied for third in saddle bronc riding and earned seventh in reining cow horse. Kagen Rhodes took fifth in the rifle shoot and third in trap shoot.
The junior high shooting placings for the Bear River rodeo included Ryter Ekker in second. Bridgerland placings were Ryter Ekker, third, and Kashley Rhodes, ninth. The Wasatch junior high shooting found Ekker in second and Kashley Rhodes in 10th. Ekker was second, Shalako Gunter, ninth, and Kashley Rhodes 10th at the Morgan junior high shooting competition.
