INTERNATIONAL DAYS 5K RUN – JULY 26
Carbon County Recreation will host the annual International Days 5K run this Saturday. Check in will be at 7:30 a.m. at the Carbon Rec office (30 East 200 South.) The race will start at 8 a.m. Fees are $15 per person or $25 per family and individual registration includes a t-shirt. Family registrations can purchase T-shirts for an additional $8 each.

CARBON REC INTERNATIONAL DAYS ACTIVITIES – JULY 26
There will be a number of Carbon Rec sponsored activities and tournaments at this year’s International Days celebration. The climbing wall will be available both Friday and Saturday.
The Horseshoe tournament starts at 11:30 a.m. Fee is $5 per person at Washington Park
3 on 3 Basketball will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Washington Park

TACKLE FOOTBALL REGISTRATION – JULY 28
Registration, equipment pick up and the draft for the Carbon Rec Tackle Football program will take place on Monday beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Carbon Rec office. The fee for tackle football is $110. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate to registration. Your child must be born before August 31, 2004 to be eligible to play.

YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP – JULY 28
Carbon Rec is hosting a youth basketball camp beginning on July 28. This camp is for a boys and girls ages 5-12. Camp will run Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for two weeks. The fee is $30 per child and includes a T-shirt. Campers will be split into age appropriate groups.

CO-ED SOFTBALL – JULY 29
Carbon rec is also taking registrations for adult co-ed softball. The registration deadline is July 29 and the fee is $260 per team. Games will be played on Monday and Wednesday at the Fairgrounds Ball Field Complex. Games will begin on August 18.

UTAH JAZZ PLAYER APPEARANCE – JULY 29
The Utah Jazz in conjunction with Carbon Rec will host a Jazz player appearance on Tuesday, July 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the BDAC on the campus of USU Eastern. This year’s player is the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Champion Jeremy Evans. Evans just finished his fourth year in the NBA and his fourth year with the Utah Jazz. He will do a skills clinic for local children and sign autographs for fans of all ages. This player appearance is free to the public and everyone is invited to attend. In addition. the first 60 kids through the doors get a free t-shirt courtesy of the Utah Jazz, Carbon County Recreation and Root Sports.
