Upward Bound Program Helping Collect Donations for Newborns in Need

Students from the Upward Bound program are helping our local Newborns in Need chapter collect formula, infant clothing, blankets, diapers, and baby hygiene items. These items will be donated to our local Castleview Hospital and families in need in Carbon and Emery County.

Upward Bound is a local federally funded program that helps low income/first generation students attend college. The program benefits students in grades 9 to 12 in Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties. As part of the program the students are asked to plan, organize, and implement community service projects that benefit their communities. The local students have chosen to help the Newborns in Need chapter collect these items in an effort to benefit local hospitals and families with these necessary items.

Again, we appreciate everyone’s help and support for the Upward Bound program, and our local Newborns in Need Chapter.
