USU Women’s Soccer Team Closes Season with Back-To-Back Wins

The USU Eastern women’s soccer team finished the regular season with two wins last week. On Wednesday, the Lady Eagles captures a 4-0 win and followed that up with a 5-0 victory over Dakota Technical College on Thursday.

In the first of two games against Dakota Technical, Kelcie George scored two goals for USU Eastern. Mashaela Farris and Lindsay Bray also scored one goal a piece during Wednesday’s game.

During the Lady Eagles final home game of the year, Hannah Smith landed the first goal of the game. She was followed by Jacquelyn Tagg with two back-to-back goals followed by Jocelyn Morris and Courtney Carpenter with one goal a piece.

With a five-goal lead at the half, USU Eastern would not score again in the second half, but clinched the victory.

The team will move on to compete in the regional tournament, which begins Nov. 3.
