Fifty-Five-year-old Kurt AlanВ Morris of PriceВ was booked into the Carbon County Jaill today on murder charges, Carbon County Chief Deputy Tom Stefanoff confirmed to etv10news.com.

The same male subject was found shortly after a suicide attempt atВ a trailer park in Carbonville shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Carbon County Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Henrie was dispatched to scene at 1711 North Carbonville Road and found the man in a bedroom in which a hose has been dragged from a running vehicle in a apparent suicide attempt.

Henry was able to pull the man outside to question him. The suspect then released to Henry that his brother, 50-year-old JackВ Roger Morris, was inside.В Once fumes had cleared out, Henrie re-entered the trailer.

“The strange thing is, when he went back into the trailer and found the second bedroom, the door was sealed off with plastic and duct tape,” said Stefanoff.

The body of the subject’s brother was found with a gunshot wound to the head. It is estimated the man’s body had been there about a week.

Stefanoff did not give any details regarding a motive.

“All I can tell you is, once the suspect recovered in Castleview Hospital he was brought in and questioned this morning (Wednesday), where he was extremely cooperative. The suspect has now been booked on charges of murder.”

A trial date will be set once information has been reviewed by the Carbon County Attorney’s Office.
