Price City Fire Chief Paul Bedont ruled the fire at a home in Indian Hills Mobile Home Park Sunday morning undetermined.
“It’s not unusal for that to be the finding,” he said. “If you can’t find a smoking gun then that’s the finding.” Bedont estimates the damage to the structure at $5-7,000. That does not include any damage to personal property within the home. Bedont felt like that much of the property damage was caused by smoke.
The fire started early Sunday in the Indian Hills Mobile Home Park located on South Carbon Avenue.
Everyone in the home was able to get out safely. A family member stated that one of the children woke up to the house filled with smoke.
Bedont said that the damage looked worse than it was. He also said it was lucky the home was a newer model mobile home manufactured with sheet rock, or the fire may have spread faster.
