Police have released an additional description of a 20-year-old suspect who escaped police custody Monday in north Price.

According to a Price City Police press release, Mitcheson is described as a 5’8″, 160-pound Hispanic male with short black hair, brown eyes, and multiple tattoos on his neck and arms.

At about 3:30 p.m. Monday, Mitcheson escaped from the offices of the Price City Police Department at 910 North 700 East. Mitcheson was being held by Price City officers on burglary and theft charges.

Soon after, Mitcheson entered a nearby home but ran from there when he was confronted by a resident who was wielding a pair of scissors. Mitcheson ran through several backyards and alleys, dropping a black hoody in the process. He was last seen in the area of 800 North and 800 East, shirtless and bare-footed.

The circumstances of the escape are still under investigation. Anyone with information of Mitcheson’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the Price Police Department at 435 636-3190.
