Day One of the State 10-year-old Cal Ripken Tournament at the Toy Atwood field is in the books. Here is complete review of the games and scores for the first day:
Carbon Blue over Wayne 16-4, Carbon White beat South Sevier 14-5, Gunnison beat Roosevelt 12-2, North Sevier edged Emery 19-14, Vernal over Carbon White 16-6, Wayne took out South Sevier 23–8, Carbon Blue beat Gunnison 19-6, Vernal shut out North Sevier 10-0.
Games resume Friday morning at 9 a.m. with Carbon White taking on Emery and Wayne playing Roosevelt in the one-loss bracket.
