Community members, friends, family and general public all gathered in Spring Glen on Friday evening and all day Saturday to celebrate Spring Glen Community Days.
Friday evening hosted music in the park. The bands featured were Wes and Steve and Shovelhead Jack. Hamburgers and hot dogs were available for purchase to those in attendance.
Saturday started bright and early with a fun run around the mail route that began at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade at 9. A flag ceremony, car show, horseshoe tournament, bake sale and more were then available at the park for attendees to enjoy.
A pulled pork dinner was available for purchase, as well as hot dogs, kielbasa, nachos and more. An auction took place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., of which the proceeds will go toward the maintenance of the community center and park.
