The Helper Arts, Music and Film Festival filled the length of Helper’s Main Street Aug. 16-19 with music, food, vendors, art and more. The highly-anticipated yearly festival welcomed back many favorites as well as some new additions.

Thursday evening opened the festivities with a gallery stroll, live music in conjunction with Price City’s Culture Connection, and more. Despite a strong windstorm doing its best to wreak havoc on the vendors and arts on Friday evening, Saturday morning started strong with a 5K, car show, live music and the like.

Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman released a statement on the festival, reflecting on the hard work from the community and their efforts to band together and repair the damage from the wind.

“I so deeply appreciated everyone’s help both Friday night during the wind storm and Saturday morning after. It was amazing to see how we all pulled together to overcome such a challenging event and supported our vendors. Events such as this always show a community’s true colors and it was more than I could have hoped for. Vendors were back up and conducting business as usual in just a few hours,” Peterman stated.

Sunday afternoon saw the end of the festivities, going out on a high note with a Kid’s Art Yard and movies at the Rio Theater. A full list of results from Saturday morning’s 5K can be found below.
