The USU Eastern choir also participated in the event, entertaining the crowd with a musical numbers during the ceremony.

The commencement speaker was Supreme Court Justice Paige M. Peterson. Years ago, she attended the College of Eastern Utah, which preceded USU Eastern. Peterson spoke on the things she has learned throughout her career and her path to achievement.
