Pioneer Days was hosted once again in Wellington City over the weekend. This year, the festivities began a day early with an event to paint Main Street on Thursday evening. Volunteers from Wellington and the surrounding community gathered to paint decorative wagon wheels on crosswalks in the city.

From there, Friday welcomed young women from the area to compete in the Little Miss Pioneer pageant. The girls that were crowned were then awarded the opportunity of riding on the Carbon County Royalty parade float on Saturday morning. A dinner in the park was provided by the Cowboy Kitchen on Friday evening along with live entertainment from The Countdown Band.

Saturday morning began with breakfast in the park followed by a parade with over 50 entries. The grand marshals for 2019 were Dale and Ardiene Norton. Entertainment was provided throughout the day in the form of food, booths, cornhole, fishing and more.
