On Friday evening a trailer fire erupted near Old Wellington Road when a man was trying to salvage the property. Luckily, he had already removed most valuables from the trailer and was planning to tear down the structure.
The firefighters were able to control the fire easily and no one was injured. Since the trailer was not located close to other properties, it was not a risk to surrounding areas or people.
“We like these kind of fires,” stated Fire Chief Bedont when asked about the the seriousness of the blaze.
Just keep in mind that fire season has started and conditions are dry. Take extra precautions and maintain control when handling fire.
