Joanna Hagen opted for large, ceremonial scissors instead of the usual safety scissors used by her little learners at a ribbon cutting on Tuesday. The golden scissors sliced through the red ribbon at Little Leaners of Price, a 24-hour daycare, owned by Hagen.
Hagen has been helping families for ten years and recently expanded to the new facility in Price. The location will prove useful to Hagen and her team as they care for children both with their 24-hour day care service as well as a pre-school, early development and after school program.
Little Learners of Price is a state licensed childcare center that offers around the clock care. The facility provides full time, part time, drop off and emergency care, aiming to personalize that care each child receives.
“We treat them like they’re our own kids,” Hagen said when the facilities were under construction. She also related how, after a significant time in her services, two students were taken out of their home by the state. The state then approached her and asked if she would adopt them, to which she agreed.
Little Learners is located at 130 North 200 East in Price. For more information, please call (435) 637-5437 or visit “Little Learners of Price L.L.C” on Facebook.
