Women from all over the community gathered in the Jennifer Leavitt Student center at USU Eastern on March 24 to enjoy all that was offered at the 38th annual Women’s Conference. The event ran from 8:30 that morning until after three that afternoon and featured much to participate in.

The a.m. keynote speaker was Merrilee Boyack while the p.m. keynote spot went to Brighton and Josie Solomon. There were over eight workshops including women’s health, natural and organic living, living without stress and more. Also there for perusal and enjoyment were booths from local entities such as Eastern Utah Women’s Health and well-known companies such as Thrive and Scentsy.

During the lunch provided at the conference, the Woman of the Year was announced to be Jenni Fasselin. Fasselin has worn many hats during her years in the community, including media, farming and volunteer work. Fasselin was deemed as a caring individual who is truly invested in the communities of Carbon and Emery.
