3rd Annual Sweat for Vets Gets Blood Pumping for a Great Cause *Photo Gallery*

TougHer Gym welcomed a multitude of individuals looking for a challenge and wishing to help a great cause on Friday evening as the 3rd annual Sweat for Vets event was hosted. This event, created by gym owner Alida Farlaino, is hosted each year as a way to get competitors’ blood pumping and honor those that have served in the military.

Over 20 competitors, both team and single, met to vie for the top spot of the evening as they were put through five different physical tests, including walk over pushups, jumping lunges, plank cone sorts, smash ball slams and break dancers. Winners were awarded an array of various prizes.

Janakae Magaan and Sheremy McEvoy took the prize for the couple’s category while Tiffany Noyes won for overall women’s. Overall men’s went to Ethan Sanchez while men’s open saw Luke Haney in first place. For women’s open, Aubrie Carpenter secured first place while second and third place were both ties between Chantelle Chastain and Jannicke Nelson and Lizz Davis and Jamie Wood, respectively.

Ted Prettyman won first place in men’s senior while Denise Young won the women’s senior title. First, second and third place in teen girls went to Aubrie Cooper, Kemery Stuckenschneider and Stephanie Sasser. Teen boys saw Emanuel Flores, Devin Prokash and Gabriel Bloomer in first, second and third, respectively.
