A well-known staple in the community, the 40th annual USU Eastern Women’s Conference was hosted once again on Friday.

Beginning in the morning with keynote speaker Miranda Mabbutt Barnard, the day did not slow down from there. Barnard is the Vice President of Vivant Solar and oversees all digital, brand, performance and content marketing. She is also known for driving record revenue growth for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as well as overseeing multiple marketing partnerships. With all of this under her belt, Barnard also happily calls Price her native town. Her highly-informative session involved the five lessons for happiness in life and one’s career.

Following Barnard’s presentation were a large number of workshops hosted by local favorites such as Neal Peacock, Hollie Stapley, Dannette Moynier and more with sessions ranging from “Beginning Vegetable Gardening” to “The Needs of Children” to “Depression Versus Sadness: When to Ask for Help.”

The final keynote speaker was announced as Dr. Matt Townsend, who took to the stage after a hearty lunch. Townsend is a national speaker and relationship expert who regularly contributes on KSL’s Studio Five. Townsend is known for energizing and involving any audience with unique approaches to all things relationships and relationship maintenance. His session was titled “Understanding the 7 Basic Needs of Health Relationships.”

A special thanks was given to the chair of the event committee, Susan A. Polster, as well as all the committee members that made the event possible.
