Less than 24 hours after suffering a tough defeat to North Summit, the Carbon Lady Dinos made the trip to Vernal to take on the Lady Utes of Uintah.
Lindsey Blanc again led Carbon in scoring, pouring in 15 points. Taylor Passarella added nine as did McKenna Sorenson in Carbon’s 63-42 win.
The Lady Dinos jumped out to an 18-9 lead after the first and took a commanding 30-19 lead into the break.
Carbon struggled again from the charity stripe, going just 13-22 for a 59% clip. The team shot 58% against North Summit on Tuesday.
The Lady Dinos (9-2, 0-0 Region 12) will host 5A West next Thursday at 3 p.m. Carbon beat West 61-36 a year ago in Salt Lake City.
