Using the steps of the scientific process: question, research, construct a hypothesis, test with an experiment, analyze the data, then communicate the results, students from the fourth and fifth grades at Huntington Elementary competed in the school’s annual science fair on Wednesday.
Questions such as “How much sugar’s in your drink?” or “Is bottled water the best water for you?” were put to the test and charted. The fair was led by Mrs. Gina Gubler, a fifth grade teacher at the school.
Fourth grade winners were Traxton Conover, first, Avey Beagley, second, and Peyton Nielson, third. Conquering the first place plaque in fifth grade was Jesse Tuttle with Tailynn Minchey in second. Third place went to the duo of Cassiey Gilbert and Macie McArthur.
The students were awarded plaques by Mrs. Gubler.
