Saturday was a special day for Katie Edwards, who was diagnosed with Goldenhar Syndrome when she was just a few weeks old. The 2nd annual Run with Katie 5k started at the mouth of Sunnyside Canyon and ended at the East Carbon Park with candy stations along the route for participants to stop and rest.

This race featured over 40 participants, including Edwards herself. After the race, participants enjoyed a hay ride back to the festivities at Miners Trading Post for a Haunted House and Trunk or Treat, as well as Navajo tacos for everyone to enjoy.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Edward’s medical bills. The Edwards family would like to give a huge thank you to the Leonard family for all the love and support throughout the years.
