The Sunnyside Rodeo royalty contest will take place on June 28 at 5 p.m. at the Sunnyside arena.
Royalty consists of a queen as well as a first and second attendant. Contestants must be 13-years-old or older and can compete until they make queen.
There will be two princesses that are 12-years-old or younger. They may reign for two years as princess and then compete for the queen’s court at the age of 13.
The contestants’ age is based on the age they are on the day of the contest. Contestants must ride their horse to a given pattern, ride in the parade on Saturday, July 11 and move the cattle in the arena during the rodeo.
