Athlete lunatics off all ages can finally mark their calendars for next year’s Lunatic Triathlon in Price as well as one to be hosted in Helper for the first time. Price City’s triathlon event will be held Friday, June 29 while Helper’s first ever event will take place Friday, Aug.24. This will be the 9th annual Lunatic Triathlon.
On the official Instagram and Facebook page for the event, the days were announced and the first ever Helper Lunatic Triathlon was revealed. The news came just in time to help add holiday spirit to those who love to participate in the event.
According to the social media post, triathlon organizers are working with Helper City to iron out wrinkles for the summer event. It also stated that they are planning on a kids’ triathlon, sprint triathlon, duathlon and a 5k.
“We are making plans to also offer the Lunaticus Maximus,” stated the post. “(And) hoping to offer a kayak course in place of the swim portion as well as a mountain bike course along the old rail lines and a run along the Helper Walkway and Main Street.”
Registration is now open and can be completed on Active.com. A discount is being offered for those who register prior to March 1 as well as for those who sign up for both the Price and Helper event.
More details will be posted to the official Instagram and Facebook page once they become final.
