The Lady Spartans traveled to Salina Tuesday night to take on the Lady Wolves. North Sevier came out looking for revenge after a 49-47 loss to Emery on Jan. 13.
Both teams battled it out in the first half. The Lady Wolves took a four-point lead into the locker room at the break. Emery hung with North Sevier throughout the second half but lost some key players due to foul trouble. Emery’s Cassidy Labrum fouled out early in the second half on some tough calls while Bayler Griffin fouled out late in the fourth.
North Sevier was able to pull off the 66-60 upset, handing Emery its first region loss. Camry Johnson had a game-high 19 points and ended up with five three pointers. Emily Olsen scored 13 and Bailey Rasmussen ended the night with 12.
Emery will take on South Sevier Thursday night at home at 7 p.m. The game can be watched live on ETV Channel 6.
