Now that the community garden at the Carbon County Food Bank is planted and the high tunnel is set up, garden organizers are in search of volunteers to keep the operation running smoothly.

“Currently, our garden and high tunnel are planted,” said Geri Gamber, Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments Community Service Program Manager. “We really could use volunteers to help control weeds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Volunteers can donate the time between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. during the week or in the evening. Those interested in volunteering should call the Carbon County Food Bank at (435) 637-9232.
