Members of the Price City Council discussed their anticipation and ongoing planning of the annual International Days celebration at a recent meeting. The event will kickoff on July 31 before wrapping up on Aug. 1.

According to Miles Nelson, this year’s chair of the event, the International Days committee met for the final time before the event on July 21 to ensure that everything was on schedule. Nelson commended the hard work of Price City employees in their efforts to make this year’s celebration a success.

Nelson said that this year, members of the community should not miss the parade, which aims to surprise parade goers with a variety of new floats. The parade will take place on Price City Main Street at 10 a.m.

Another new event is the “So You Think You Can Sync” competition. Hosted by Castle Country Radio, the lip sync contest will feature competitors from throughout the local area in single and group performances. The first place winner will take home a $1,000 prize with the second place finisher earning $500. The competition is slated for Saturday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Washington Park followed by a performance from the Jeff Keele Band.

Price City International Days will still feature some of the community’s favorite activities, including free swim day at the Desert Wave Pool, fireworks, movies in the park and vendor booths. For a complete list of this year’s events, please see the flyer below.
