USU Eastern Psychology Club hosted itsВ inauguralВ dance benefit this past Friday. Dancers from across the area performed and helped the club earn over $1,800.
Psychology club member, Natalie Cook, explained that half of the proceeds will go toward funding conferences for the club. The other half will be donated toward the re-construction of the Geary Theater.
The club also gave $100 of their profit to the dance school with the most audience members who signed up when entering the event. The winning school was Dance Technica. Performers also included Encore Dance Studio, Non-Stop Dance, Castle Country Stars, LaRae’s Spinners, Jem Spinners, Emery High Cheerleaders, Adrenaline, One Love Dance, Carbon High Drill and USU Eastern Cheerleaders.
Because the event was such a success, there are plans to conduct a second benefit next year. At that time, the club will select a non-profit group to donate half it’s earnings to.
The USU Eastern Psychology Club is under the direction ofВ adviserВ and psychologist Heath Earl.
