Emery Cross Country hosted its lone meet of the season Tuesday in Castle Dale. The boy’s team cruised to an easy win while the girl’s team finished in third.
Chase Christiansen finished in second place with a time of 17:11.10. Ty Funk was just :30 seconds behind, picking up a fourth place finish. McKay Meccariello finished in sixth and Tanyon Allred finished with a top-ten finish, coming in eighth. McKoy Christiansen, Daryl Guymon and Wyatt Cox placed in the top 20. Jake Jensen, Lane Taylor, Lance Chynoweth, Travis Fehlberg, Walker Woolsey, Nathan Urie, Sebastian Viera, Zac World, Parker Stilson and Malone Moss also participated in the event.
On the girls side, Erin Hurst finished nearly a minute faster than the nearest competitor with a time of 20:23.00. Riata Christiansen finished in 11th and Tarryn Parker notched a top-fifteen finish in 15th. Belle Bowers and Lexy Cox also earned points for the team.
