In a five-game volleyball match on Thursday, the Lady Dinos faced off against the Richfield Wildcats.
The games ping-ponged between the two teams beginning with a 25-18 victory for Carbon, then a 25-17 victory for Richfield, a 25-14 win for the Lady Dinos, a 25-21 win for the Wildcats and finally ending with a 15-9 win for Carbon, giving them the match victory as well.
“In the games we won, we pretty much controlled the game from the start,” said head coach Christen Johnson. “I thought it was really good because it was a state-atmosphere.”
Johnson praised Mallorie Bradley for her job at controlling the game as well as a total of 38 assists, Sara Morely for 22 kills, Jordan Scoggins for nine kills and Brecklyn Frame for 26 digs.
The Lady Dinos will next host Canyon View’s volleyball team on Tuesday.
“I think they’ve probably improved since we played them last time,” Johnson admitted. “We’re going to have to play our best in order to beat them.”
