LJC Promotions is a Price-based company that brings entertainment to local areas. Founder Jay Daugherty started the business in 2013 with an acquaintance that put on demolition derbies, but at this time his friend is no longer with the business. Daugherty took the business and grew it from there to what it is now with partner Richie Carter and both of their families.
The company’s biggest event is Derby Toons, which is a mix of demolition derby and cartoon characters in Moroni, UT. They also put on a Monster Truck Rally in Price. LJC Promotions is a subsidiary of Southeast Contractors. Daugherty stated that the basic concept for LJC Promotions is to try and help out the community while also bringing in new events.
“Our desire is to help people out, to serve the community,” Daugherty said.
LJC Promotions works with the Boys and Girls Club and the local food bank on their monster truck jam. One of their biggest promotions recently happened was when they made a generous donation for an eight-year-old girl who had stage three cancer. LJC also donated $500 to Carbon County Search and Rescue.
LJC has been able to put on these events thanks to sponsorships from local businesses such as Tony Basso and Price Auto Group.
