On Wednesday, Oct. 14 the Pinnacle High School Cross Country team participated in their region meet and walked away victorious.
The girl’s team placed first in the competition, qualifying seven runners for the state tournament. The boy’s team took third overall and will be sending three team members to state this week to compete.
Pinnacle High School Cross Country Coach Mark Stuckenschneider praised the girl’s team as a whole for the progress it has made throughout the season.
“All of our running times have gone down as the season has progressed,” he expressed. “They’ve gotten stronger and faster as time has gone on.”
The state tournament will be held this Wednesday at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City. Bodie Barker, Noah Mascarenas and Huntter Sherman will be representing the boy’s team and Misty Bingham, Dellanie Paletta, Kaysha Dunegan, Shylinn Lofley, Nikki Borba, Kaeley Taylor and Savana Dart will run for the girls.
