Gearing up for a run in the upcoming 1A playoffs the first week of March, the Pinnacle Panthers took care of business Friday night at home against Region 18’s Telos, 89-35.
Every player on Pinnacle’s roster notched at least one point in the game, led by Skylar Graves who poured in 17. Jon Giddings added 15 and Noah Mascarenas nearly recorded a double double with nine points and nine assists.
The game was never in doubt as the Panthers shot out of the gate en route to a 20-7 first quarter. Even after subbing in all of his bench players throughout the game, Coach Cameron Gardner’s Panthers were still able to extend their lead.
Pinnacle (13-6, 5-2 Region 19) has just one game remaining on its schedule, a Thursday matchup with region foe Whitehorse (4-3, 4-3 Region 19). The Panthers won their previous matchup against Whitehorse 64-49 on Jan. 15. With a win, Pinnacle would wrap up the second overall seed out of its region.
