Preliminary Hearing Set For Egley, Further Proceedings in the Works

Thomas Edward Egley appeared in the Seventh District Court before Judge George Harmond Monday morning in hopes of setting a preliminary hearing for the second-degree felony of criminal homicide and first-degree felony of rape with which he is being charged.

The 76-year old appeared with his attorney, David Allred. A series of days from Oct. 25 to 28 was set as a preliminary hearing for Egley, with further proceedings scheduled for Oct. 3 to confirm if the aforementioned dates will be carried out, according to information received from the Carbon County Attorney’s Office.
